IT Technical Lead - eCommerce - Web

This position will play a role on the Global IT team and will be working in a highly dynamic, fast changing and fluid work environment. We are seeking a talented individual for the Technical lead role to support the ecommerce and Web Capabilities. Expert in eCommerce who is interested in developing go to market solutions and strategies for industry-leading eCommerce solutions. Experience with web application technologies (i.e.: HTML, CSS, JSP, XML, AJAX, Javascript, SSL/Encryption/Certificates, SEO, content management, SSO, proxies and load balancers), Service Oriented Architectures (SOA), commerce platforms and databases

The Technical Lead is a member of the application delivery team and will be responsible for providing technical expertise and functional knowledge to design, develop and implement secure integrated IT/Business solutions. The purpose of this role is to drive appropriate technical solutions for application integration; view alternatives from an end-to-end integrated perspective and understand the broader implications of technical and business related choices. This person interacts with and must be able to influence other managers, directors and partners throughout the organization.

Key responsibilities include:
- This role must effectively partner and/or lead teams with various staffing models of internal and external on-shore and off-shore resources in order to deliver successful solutions
- Lead design workshops to enable the preparation of detailed functional specifications for translation into structured technical specifications
- Coordinating overall scoping and delivery of large and complex development projects and enhancements for the online channel
- Provide input to the cross system integration design
- Creation of system data flow definitions and diagrams
- Define and deliver non-functional requirements definitions
- Understand and document the technical specifications/limitations including application capacity
- Create technical conversion specifications which include data mapping from existing source, transaction volumes, security and performance requirements
- Support testing activities by assisting in root cause analysis and by providing recommendations to resolve all known issues
- Support service introduction of new releases into production by providing technical knowledge transfer to the support teams
- Create the technical components of the deployment plan and lead the technical team through the deployment process
- Provide post implementation escalation and communication support through the warranty period
- Experience in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in IT, Computer Science, business or related field
- 4 or more years of experience implementing large scale ecommerce applications
- 4 or more years in a Technical Lead role
- Multiple years experience in integrated systems design and development across multiple capabilities
- 1 or more years experience at a manager level in global consumer orientated retail organization, digital business or related industry
- 1 or more years experience at a manager level in a multi-channel brand business environment

Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3 or more years of experience in project and/or program management along with demonstrated expansion of project complexity, budget and risk
- Demonstrated experience successfully running large cross-functional projects, experience in working with technical and business teams, web product and/or e-commerce experience (ATG Commerce, FAST, Content management systems)
- Knowledge of business applications, underlying architecture and product lifecycle
- 8 years' experience in one or more of the following areas, with demonstrated progression of responsibilities:
o Application delivery
o Product design and product strategy
o Subject matter expertise in building Java based High-volume/High-transaction E-commerce applications web applications using:
o Commerce Platforms (e.g. ATG, WebSphere Commerce, Blue Martini)
o Integration of product catalog, Web content and pricing feeds, outbound feeds with
o Use of CSS, HTML, DHTML, XML, XSLT, JavaScript and Multi browser support
o Source Control (CVS, or Subversion)
o Knowledge of Web Content Management system (WCM)
